These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at discountpropertytaxes.com and the services of Discount Property Taxes, LLC ("Discount Property Taxes," "we," "us"). By using the website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Our services
We are an independent property tax consulting firm. We protest property valuations on behalf of property owners in Travis County and Williamson County, Texas, including preparing evidence, filing protests and representing owners in informal meetings and Appraisal Review Board hearings. We are not affiliated with any appraisal district or government agency.
Your service agreement controls
When you register a property you sign an Appointment of Agent form and a service agreement. The signed service agreement sets out the specific terms of our engagement, including our fees. If anything in these website Terms conflicts with your signed service agreement, the service agreement governs.
Fees
Our fees are contingent on results: you pay only if we obtain a reduction, as described in your service agreement and on our website. Fees are due upon invoice and may be paid online through Square or by check.
No guarantee of results
Every property and every hearing is different. While we work to obtain the lowest supportable value, we cannot guarantee any particular outcome, reduction or amount of savings. Examples and estimates on our website are illustrative only.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete information about your property and promptly share notices you receive from the appraisal district.
- Register early enough for us to meet filing deadlines. We are not responsible for deadlines missed because a property was registered late or information was not provided in time.
- Pay your property taxes on time. A pending protest does not extend your tax payment deadline, and we do not pay taxes on your behalf.
Not legal or tax advice
Information on this website — including blog articles — is general and educational. It is not legal, tax or financial advice for your specific situation. For advice about your circumstances, consult a qualified professional.
Use of this website
You may use this website for lawful, personal and business purposes related to our services. You may not attempt to disrupt the website, access non-public areas, submit false information, or use automated tools to send messages through our forms.
Intellectual property

Third-party services
We use third-party services such as DocuSign for signatures and Square for payments. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the fees you paid us for the tax year at issue.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
